Construction starts soon on my new box...the old P4 1.7, 512 MB PC 2700 and GF2 card are just not cutting it any more.

New box:

P4 3.2 GHz CPU
512 MB of PC 3200 (Dual Channel)
Asus P4P800 SE http://usa.asus.com/products/mb/socket478/p4p800se/overview.htm
Asus 9570TD 256MB Vid card http://usa.asus.com/products/vga/v9570td/overview.htm
X Dreamer II Box http://www.circotech.com/xiishtrwiteb.html

PSU in the new box is being upgraded to 450 Watt fresh from the store, I get a trade-in for the packaged PSU. Smiley

Trying to squeeze enough cash out to make the vid card a 6800...we'll see. Smiley

Shame your not closer to me Dan. I live in Southampton.  Just built my new rig and have a bundle left over which I am gonna sell rather cheap.

I have a :

And a big Coolmaster aero thingy cpu cooler.

All this for £140  (Costs £260 brand new)

It has to be put in a full size ATX case though due to the CPU heatsink.

Total cost, as described is about $1050.00 CDN.

The old box is going to be retained as a surfing machine...I'll be doing all my websurfing on this machine to isolate the other from most viruses.
