Just fantastic. Where did you snap this magnificent machine?
PS, That's a Princess Coronation class isn't it?

Wow, I never knew they had a Coronation at Butterly. I only live about fifteen minutes away myself and often used to sit fishing on Butterly Res and watch the Steam locos but I've never seen this one before. I must get over there some time.

And they keep telling us that vehicles powered by water are a new idea.
I used to know a lot about trains but I've forgotten most of it. I don't think it's a Coronation Class because weren't they streamlined?
I only pretend to know what I'm talking about. Heck, that's what lawyers, car mechanics, and IT professionals do everyday.

Not sure about anything on the actual machine, but I do know for sure that the operators are still in "Training" !

Unlike the Gresley A4s of the LNER, the Coronation ‘s streamlining was just external cladding. It interfered with the maintenance and was soon removed. The Coronation Class was the most powerful class of Steam Locomotive to run in the UK and it is a truly amazing sight to see one of these in steam.
