I am getting bored with Flight Simulator 2004. I need some more disasters like an engine goes on fire and like your flaps break. Or a cabin fire or aprt of the plane breaks off so I can see if I can land the plane safely. Also if there is a real emergency I  can do an emegerency landing and put out the yellow slides. Is there a program you can add on to it? Please can someone tell me. thanks so much!!

Boredom isn't often encountered in this flight sim. If it is then you are doing something wrong.  Grin

Seriously, the failures in ACOF leave much to be desired. You could try having someone else set them up for you (that way it's a surprise). For other things to do maybe you might want to join a VA or you can work on some area of flight where you need improvement.

If all else fails try this. Download the Super Decathlon (it's either here in the file library or over at AVSIM). Next climb up to 10,000 ft and shut down the engine. Now without power do a bunch of airshow stunts and when you get low enough circle and land without restarting your engine except to taxi off the runway. That should keep you busy for a while.  Grin

When I got bored with it, I turned up all my realizms and stopped using the auto pilot. Talk about a bad times for telemarketers to call.

What do computers and air conditioners have in common?...
They both will work perfectly, until you open windows.

Vannpenguin,

Well then.... maybe try to get a real pilot's licence... or if you already have one..... get a job as a commercial pilot  Wink

Try doing a search for "Doherty's Difficult and Dangerous Approaches" and start working your way through them.  There are over 30 volumes of about 8 landings in each volume.

Also.... search for the payware addon "Alert !!".  It adds on all sorts of realistic multi-systems failures and such.

best,

.................john
