I hope its not a really flat/dull yellow color.  That is a common color used to hide defects in the car's body (caused by wrecks).  If there hasn't been good body work done, it is common to paint it like that so its not as visible.

I hope thats not the case, but it could be.  Either way, it sounds like a great project and I hope you have fun with it.

Awesome, should be nice afterwards. You do know that now you have to post a picture of it when it's finished. Cheesy Wink

I know that feeling.  Sometimes I think I'll never finish my car-but eventually I think it'll get done.

the 455 SD was a very nice engine, but... Pontiac was going to come out with a Ram-Air V engine. About 200 were built and later sold for about 2K in the 70's.  Pontiac even had a Ram-Air VI and Ram-Air VII in the works.

True, the only downside was that the Ram Air V lacked streetability. Whereas anyone could drive a SD 455 car, they were quite docile with all that torque.  Smiley

Mustangs are my favorite.  The '68, '69 428 SCJ is my mythic stang of all.  Also, in 1963 Ford put a 427 side oiler in the T-bird.  If I could but find one.  Very rare, very overlooked, and very fast.  Also, a lucky lady works at our post office here in town is first with an '05 stang.  Black GT. She give tours.  Very nice, lot more substance than the fox platform stangs had and Ford did well with it.  Funny thing.  One can talk about all the fine muschle cars that have come and gone. And yes, all the makers made wonderful ones, some of which I would love to drive or own. But the last one standing of that species is the humble little mustang.  Production is very much sales driven and the mustang earned its continued survival and evolution.
