I'm using Leechget and I've tried other download managers but I get a problem.

The just download stops in my absence and it defeats the purpose of the utility. The download doesn't restart either, the program just sits there open with no transfer happening.

It would nearly always happen when my screen blanked off during power saving, but that is disabled now and it's still happening.

I have a minimum of automated programs or services running.

The most annoying part is that it often happens as soon as I walk away from my PC or open another app/window and can't monitor it.

It's as if something is interrupting the download program, it happens less frequently it seems if I don't use a download manager.

Can anyone help me resolve this issue?

Well not often I see you asking a question usually the other way around, Smiley

I have never used Leechget so I don't know if this will help or not.
I have always used Getright and never had trouble with it until I installed a accelerator, and on occasion if the accelerator is enabled while trying to download it will stop the transfer. Which is probably a good thing, I often forget to disable it when uploading photos and notice it wreaks havoc on the quaility of them!

If you shut down the download manager and restart does it give you the option of continuing the download then?
Reason I ask is with Getright if connection is lost it automatically saves just as it would if you canceled the download yourself, and then allows a restart.
i have been having trouble with my phone line and will get  disconnected from time to time.
Hope something here gives you ideas!

I've tried several download managers over the years. I always go back to DAP. http://www.speedbit.com/DAP7/DefaultLocal.asp?

Never had a problem with it. If the download is interrupted it reconnects automatically. If you have the same trouble with DAP I suspect it's something your end.

I've used DAP for years, for me its just the job! - Especially now I've got broadband, its amazing when a file gets to 299mb out of 300 and stops! - DAP comes to the rescue time & time again.  Wink  8)

I just disabled windows power management altogether, it works fine now, it's got to be a task switching thing in windows that was triggering it i guess, I always have the stupidest problems.....  Tongue

It happened whether I was using different d/l managers or none at all, it wasn't specific to leechget.
