The aviation side to my Sunday, just about as exciting as the racing.  

This is my first time ever seeing an EC-135 and the Eurocopter sure left a nice impression.

The STAT EC-135's arrive in formation. Shocked

#1 on approach to land at the infield care center. 8)

One of them left a few minutes later, another medivac call I presume.

These shots were taken on a run, stop, shoot, run, stop, shoot basis so I could get to the helipad at least see #2 land.  They actually were inviting people to go inside the fence and see the helis up close, but we had to get moving.  

The EC-135 is a stunning peice of helicopter and surprisingly quiet.

the EC135 is a beautiful helo! last year, i had took a seat in a Colibri...the EC120...those rotary wings really have a nice interior!  Wink
