Help..... Panic has set in. I've just got FS9 where I want it after lots of tweaking and picking up some very useful pointers from this forum. Thanks a lot for that. I thought I would start adding in some AFCAD files. It all seemed pretty straight forward. Just put these guys in 'Add On Scenery/Scenery; that's what I read I think. When I looked in the programme I discovered to my horror that I didn't have an 'scenery' sub folder in Add On Scenery. I hate to think that I've mistakingly deleted it at some time. Can anyone help please? What next........ just when you think you've got FS9 where you want it.

Hello and welcome Crocker. 1st off, check your recycle bin and see if it is there.
If you just got FS9, the add on scenery will be empty. I am sure you did not delete anything. There should be two folders in the add on scenery folder, Scenery and texture.
Hope this helps,
Dave

thanks for your response. Actually I've been running FS9 for a few months now and have installed about a dozen Add on Scenery files during this time. The tweaking about has been frustrating and an on-going process.
First place I looked was in the 'bin' but I remember emptying it a couple of weeks ago hmmmm..... Am I doomed never to have AFCAD files? Can't I just create a 'scenery' folder with a 'texture' sub folder? That's a novice talking!
cheers mate

Heya Crocker,
I see no reason why you can't go into your Addon Sceneries folder and create two new folders. Just name one Scenery and the other Texture and you should be ready to start over again.
A long time ago I learned the power of Backups. I save an entire copy of my FS 2004 on a different Secondary Hard Disk every week. I make other backups as well.

Greetings Graycat
Thanks for your advice. I'll try it. The back up point is well made. Something you should do regularly as you do but somehow always put to one side - well I do; to my cost sometimes.
cheers
