I never expected to see anything like this. Merlins could be heard on the ground too.
Wonder how many gallons to mile he gets out of that?
Back to the aircraft. Hello, what's this then?
The mighty Jug arrives. Think this is the first time I've seen one in the air.
Nicely done Sir.
One of 4 Harvards at the show.
And another one. Very colourful.
The ubiquitous little Piper Cub. This one's in L-4 Grasshopper markings.
Now for the Luftwaffe. The Bucker Jungmann. This put on a marvellous display of aerobatics.
A nice Fieseler Storch. Actually a French-built MS.500 Criquet with a Jacobs radial. I was surprised how big they are compared with the Piper Cub.
Unfortunately the promised Bf 109 (Merlin engined Hispano Buchon) didn't show up.
