i still cant sem to get the landing gear of the c-17 to show up. i also cant get the smoke to show up. anyone know what to do? thanks

I am also having that problem, there is no visual of the gear or the flaps

Now, I assume this is the C-17 posted here. http://www.simviation.com/fs2004military14.htm
From the comments in the file description this an early FS2002-type model. Quote:

works well in FS2004 ACOF - just one small snag engines are hollow in reverse mode

It should give a "non-compatible software" warning when you first select it in FS9. If you click the "No" option it should work as advertised. If you clicked "Yes" you will need to do the fs9.cfg tweak I've seen in another recent topic. I don't have FS9 installed to this machine so can't give precise details.

I can't help with the smoke. If it's not working I assume this is a 3rd party effect.
