S!  I have done alot of modifying of the HUD panel already, but what I am stuck at now is GPS, I want to incorporate GPS into the HUD.  The problem of course is making it clickable and also making it show up as GPS and not some big red (or whatever color your HUD happens to be) box.  I'm sure this is one of the most unexplored areas of CFS but if anyone else has tried this please share your knowledge... maybe there's something I'm mission in the window settings.

I remember some time ago I experimented with the possibility of putting an ADF indicator in the HUD (I'm almost certain that it is impossible to have clickable gauges in the HUD and figured anyway that you could set your frequency in the cockpit).

I managed to position and size the gauge on the HUD and edit the gauge bit maps so that they would show transparent, but ultimately failed because there appeared to be some kind of background 'blocking' bitmap that was impossible to get rid of. Hence, my HUD gauge was obscured by a solid rectangle and visible only at the edges.

The guy who created the enhanced HUDs (elephant, I think his name was) might be able to help here. Try and look him up.

I think what you will need to do is create a new gauge without the blocking component I mentioned or at least edit an existing one to remove it - beyond my slender programming abilities, I'm afraid.

Again, I do not think it will be possible to have a clickable gauge in your HUD.

All the best,

Pads
