If you build a similar system yourself it will be cheaper.

AMD Athlon 64 3700+&&GeForce FX5200 256Mb&&1GB DDR400 DC&&Seagate 500Gb SATA-300 HDD&&Windows XP Professional X64 Edition
&&&&That's right, I'm now using an AMD! I decided to give them another try and they kicked the pants off of my P4 3.4!

Personally I wouldnt choose that mobo or that ram or that G/card. I'm sure you could build yourself a slightly better tower for around the same price.  I am also very sceptical about buying ellecy goods off of ebay. I prefer to use someone like http://www.overclockers.co.uk and have good customer service incase anything goes wrong.

Here is a system I built off the overclockers site:

AMD Athlon 64 3000 (Socket 754) - Retail (CP-070-AM)
£104.95

MSI K8N Platinum nForce3 250 (Socket 754) Motherboard (MB-022-MS)
£69.95

Corsair 512MB DDR Value Select PC3200 Kit (2x256MB) (MY-043-CS)
£56.95

Sapphire ATI Radeon 9800 Pro 128MB DDR TV-Out/DVI - Lite Retail (GX-017-SP)
£117.95

Maxtor DiamondMax Plus 9 120GB ATA-133 8MB Cache - OEM (HD-013-MD)
£48.95

Antec Plus 1080AMG Metallic Gray File Server Case - 430W TruePower PSU (CA-001-AT)
£77.50

MSI DR8-A2 8x DVD±R/±RW (Black) - Retail (CD-016-MS)
£46.00

OcUK Value Floppy Drive - Silver (CD-001-AP)
£6.50

Microsoft Wireless Optical Desktop v2.0 - OEM (KB-018-MS)
£27.00

Altec Lansing 2100 Enhanced 2.1 Speaker System (SP-002-AL)
£46.95

Subtotal £602.70
VAT £105.48
Total £708.18

I reckon this is better than the other package on Ebay myself.  The package on Ebay doesnt come with a monitor or software so I have a very comparible system built above.  Only thing I am not sure on is speakers.  I got creative ones but they woulda taken the price a bit more over the £700 mark

I wouldn't get that PC after my experience with the cheaper  mobo & component manufacturers. You get alot of Asrock & Jetway in packages on ebay, try and get yourself a nice system with quality (stable) components. If you have the knowhow then building a system like Gixer suggests would be a very good option, or get a good package deal advertised in the large PC magazines.

I wouldn't bother with the 9800pro though - go for one of the new ones if you can, then you have a few months future proofing!

I go with you on that one Birdman.  Was tryin to keep to the same budget but if you can afford it go for a 6800GT / Ultra or X800XT / PE
