Sure, I have 6 Learjets.
You just need to make sure the textures you add match the existing model. If you want to add more C-172's look for repaints of the default C-172.
Then read your handy "adding aircraft" tute here
http://www.simviation.com/acinstall.htm
and "how to add repaints" here

Yes, provided things are done correctly.
Things to check:
Do the new 'paints' you have added to default aircraft show in the 'select aircraft' window, that is can you fly them? If yes then they are installed properly. If not then AI cant fly them either.
Have you correctly added each new 'paint' to the aircraft.txt file for TTools?
Have you correctly created flight plans for the new 'paints' in the flightplans.txt file for TTools?
Did you compile?
Cheers,
Dave

Make it simple:
www.projectai.com
Project AI has easy to install AI aircraft that cover quite a few of the worlds airlines.
AMD Athlon 64 3700+&&GeForce FX5200 256Mb&&1GB DDR400 DC&&Seagate 500Gb SATA-300 HDD&&Windows XP Professional X64 Edition
&&&&That's right, I'm now using an AMD! I decided to give them another try and they kicked the pants off of my P4 3.4!

Hey Dave I sent you an email wit the files from the my email address: garfieldmorrison. Did you get it.
I don't like project AI aircrafts.
Aslo: Dave evrything is in order with my aircrafts. I can fly them and do anythin with them. I ahve no problem at all with them. I noticed that only the first three from each list are showing up. I wonder why. But I am leaving it to the experts to rectify the problem.

If I'm reading this correctly you need to add the extra aircraft to Aircraft.txt. This is the last default entry on the list
AC#36,124,"Piper Cherokee 180 Paint2"
To add an aircraft copy/paste this entry below itself & change the AC# number to the next in sequence. The next variable 124 is the cruising speed & the last one between the quotes is the title of the aircraft. AI aircraft are identified by the exact title= name from their Aircraft.cfg entry between the "xxxxxxxxxx". Each variation needs a separate entry. I don't think there's any limit to the amount of AI aircraft you can add to the database. After it's recompiled with TTools you can use the new AC# numbers in your flight plans.
This is all explained in detail in TTools ReadMe.htm.
I found the easiest way to start out is to replace the default aircraft with similar 3rd party examples in Aircraft.txt. Simply change the name like this.
AC#36,124,"Exact title of new plane here"
When it's recompiled your 3rd party aircraft will use the default AI flight plans for AC#36 instead of the Cherokee Paint 2. Once you get used to the idea you can start creating new flight plans for any aircraft in your hangar.
PS. Before modifying anything I suggest taking backup copies of the 3 text files produced by TTools in case it all goes wrong.

I don't you people are reading properly. Everything that you are suggesting was already done. I have no problems with adding aircrafts. So please tell me something else. Thank you.

Please don't think I'm trying to be clever. If you know how to do it I really don't understand the question. ???

Is there anyway that I could increase the default aircraft list for FS2002 from the standard 3 default aircraft to about 7 or eight? If there is a way, could someone fill me in.
Use TTools to add the extra variations for each aircraft to the AI database as I already explained.

Hey Hagar, I know exactly what you are saying and all of that has been done from the beginning. The problem I see happening is that TTOOLS is only selecting the first three aircrafts from the the list of each kind, no matter what aircraft it is. I have all AC# programmed but all TTOOl does is replicate just those first three of each kind. All the aircrafts show up on the list. Their titles are listed in the aircraft.text and I can fly them. If I schedule the fourth aircraft in the 737-400 list which is Bahamasair it shows up at my airport as Southwest or American or Jamaica instead of Bahamasair. But they are all programmed correctly. I think there is something limiting the amount of commercial airline types from each kind and I don't know what it is. Trust me Hagar I have done all that you are suggesting. I am wondering Why it is choosing just three of each kind. That seems to be systematic to me. What do you think?

Hi Coppershot. I think we have to distinguish between flyable aircraft & AI traffic. The flyable variations (repaints) of any aircraft are added to Aircraft.cfg as explained in my Add a Repaint tute.
http://www.simviation.com/lair/Repaint2002.htm
Providing this is done correctly the new variations will then be selectable from the Create a Flight menu.
TTools is used for the AI traffic. Once you add new variations of any aircraft to the AI database they can be used as AI aircraft but they MUST be installed properly to work. This includes adding the new Aircraft.cfg [fltsim.x] entries. If these are ordinary flyable aircraft & not special unflyable AI drones like the default Dash 8 they must be selectable from the FS9 Aircraft menu to work as AI traffic.

So let me ask this; If I replaced the default 737, 747 and 777 aircrafts textures with default repaint textures of commercial aircraft including updating the cfg list and all, and program them into TTools, are you telling me that that the defaults are not considered AI aircrafts? Could that be my problem?

I'm still not quite clear on what the problem is. Lets try again. Using the 737 in my tute as an example you add the new entry to Aircraft.cfg. This will be Paint 3
[fltsim.3]
title=Boeing 737-400 Paint3
It should be selectable from the FS2002 Aircraft menu as shown in my walkthrough. Check it out in the sim to make sure it works.
Now, to use it as AI traffic this needs to be added to the AI database with TTools. I assume you already ran the decompiler & have a file in the TTools directory named Aircraft.txt. Open this file in Notepad or Wordpad & add the new variation to the bottom of the list below the last entry. Make sure you renumber it.
AC#36,124,"Piper Cherokee 180 Paint2" <<<-- this is the last default entry
AC#37,430,"Boeing 737-400 Paint3"
Exit Notepad saving changes. You now have 4 variations of the 737. Run the TTools compiler to add this to the AI database. It won't appear as AI traffic in FS2002 unless you add AC#37 to FlightPlans.txt & recompile it. You can either create new flight plans or change some of the existing ones.
PS. You can do this as many times as you wish, either in a batch or one at a time. Remember to recompile the database each time you update it.

Yes Hagar that was done for all my aircraft. You keep repeating the same thing and I don't think you are reading what I am saying to you. All that has been done or else I would not have been able to fly or see some of these aircrafts at my airports but I am only seeing the first three. The remainder after the first three are consecutively labeled and numbered. I just think that Fs2002 will only allow a maximum of three aircrafts per kind. Do you have a similar set up on your game and if you do, do you mind emailing them to me with the flightplans and aicraft text. Do you have more than three versions of the 737 showing up at your airports. Maybe the computer specs could be the problem I don't know.
P.S. Is it possible that I am using an outdated version of TTools?

I don't think you have done all I'm telling you or it would work. ???
The main criteria are that the variation (repaint) is installed correctly (selectable as a new variation from the FS2002 menu) & the AI database is correctly updated with TTools. If not, it can't possibly work as AI traffic. This needs doing carefully as a small typo can mess it all up.
I don't know of any limit to the number of variations you can use. If there is a limit it's certainly more than 3 for each aircraft. My Add a Repaint walkthrough is only basic & you can change the ATC entries for the different variations in Aircraft.cfg later if you wish. The older FS2002 version of TTools should be fine but it wouldn't hurt to use the latest version. This is a little more user-friendly & compatible with both FS9 & FS2002.
http://www.simviation.com/fs2004utilities1.htm
Make sure you read the instructions carefully & understand how it works.

So I understand this. So if they were not installed correctly, why would they appear in my aircraft menue with repaint and all, and why would I be able to fly them? I can see them when I am the operator but not when they are controlled by AI. The first three aircrafts that are showing up at my airports are themselves repaint like the rest. They were added just like the remainder. Why are they showing up and are being operated by AI but the remaining seven are not. They are all done the same way. Are you getting me? If I have an american 737- 400, the new variation is called american also. That goes for the rest of my aircrafts. The commercial names becomes the variation. So I don't understand why you are repeating to me what I already know. I think that you actually don't know but that's my opinion.
P.S. If I am doing the aircraft variation wrong, please give me a more detailed instruction on how I should correct it.

Sorry Coppershot. You've almost beaten me. I must be losing my touch.
I can only repeat what I've already told you. If the new variations all show up correctly on the Select Aircraft menu & you can fly them this is not the problem. I suspect this lies with what you're doing with TTools. First, all new variations you wish to use as AI traffic must all be added to the database by editing Aircraft.txt & recompiling. There are a lot of default flight plans & unless these new variations are correctly added to those flight plans using the airports you visit at the times you're there you won't see them.
