Hi I was wondering what is the fastest downloadable plane avaible? I want to download something british which shows union jacks or a very fast plane. The fast plane can be from anywhere. I want a British plane because British engineers are very skilled and their skills have been wasted by the government and others. Like concorde for example. Great plane but now its gone. I was thinking of flying in it one day but i never got the chance. Bloody 'fit as many people as you can' planes. There fault. Like the harrier thats British any of them?

Hmm tricky. Well either the X-15, SR-71 or the Firefox are the fastest (the first and last are available here, the Blackbird is out there as a freeware model but I'm not sure where).
Concorde, well go to http://www.fsfrance.com/Projets/Mach2/Download.htm
We have a nice selection of Harriers here as well, I suggest you go to the downloads page and trawl the military section. Lots of lovely stuff Wink

You could also try the XB-70 Valkyrie for fast Cheesy

I downloaded the SR71 from this site last week. Tonight I took it up to see what it would do. At 60,000 feet it started to be unstable. Came down to 57,000 and opened it up. My GPS showed a GS of 4442 KTS. I think that is pretty fast.
