I recently d/led the ifdg 757-200, but every single add-on panel I've installed doesn't have a virtual cockpit! I even tried to copy in the 777 panel, but every time when I went to vc view there was absolutely nothing. Any ideas on what I might be doing wrong?

It's my understanding the VC is created with the *.air file and if the author does not include a 3D panel it cannot be added

MooseMan a VC is an intergral part of the visual model and cannot be added or changed. Only 2d cockpits can be added or modded on the model.

There, there MooseMan. I feel your pain. Everything will be OK. Here--I brought you some Kleenex. I also brought some advice. I've found that the Project Opensky 757 is just as good as the IFDG aircraft, maybe better. It comes with two different models--one without the Virtual Cockpit and one with the VC. Download it here:
http://www.projectopensky.com/downloads-index.php
To get the VC to display all you have to do is open the Posky 757 Aircraft.cfg file (be sure to back it up first) and look near the top. You'll see an entry that says 'Model='. Type the letters 'vc' after this entry so that it looks like this: 'Model=vc' (without the ',').
The aircraft is super-detailed (when you open the doors there will even be a uniformed flight attendant standing nearby to greet you with a friendly "Hi, Captain MooseMan. Welcome aboard! Where are we going today?"). Shift + E opens the middle passenger door. Shift + T (or whatever you have the Tailhook command assigned to) opens the forward passenger door. The 2d panel provided is good just the way it is.
The first drawback I found with it is that the Sound is aliased to the default 737 sounds. This is okay, however, Des Braban and Eric DeRoche have both put out excellent 757 replacement sound packages.
The second drawback is that the 757 Virtual Cockpit does not come with textures. To cure this issue you may wish to go to the Virtual Cockpit view and turn your 'eyepoint' about 45 degrees right. You will see a website where you can download the textures for the Posky 757 virtual cockpit.
I hope that this helps. Don't worry. Myself, I don't really care that much about the aircraft having a virtual cockpit or not. That to me is no real big deal. My big thing is opening doors or opening canopies. My aircraft absolutely have to have them!

My favourite 757 panel is by Lonny Payne. AFAIK he used to fly 757s, and as a result, the panel is ridiculously detailed! The startup procedure takes ages to do properly, so it's super-realistic. Combined with the VC of the POSKY 757, it's really amazing.
