My father had both fs2k2 and fs9 working in his computer before his hard disk failed -- he now has it repaired but now has a problem with 2k2 -- he tells me he gets an error "third party software" but it is with traffic.dll -- he has no extra addons or aircraft, this is "out of the box" he tried both yes and no but the game crashes back to desktop -- I have never had a problem like that -- I don't know what computer he is using except he is using xp and more than 512M ram -- He also says the disks are clean and he has a cd cleaner disk -- It is hard to help him since he is on the west coast and I am on the east coast... Does anyone have any suggestions I can pass on to him??

Lew. This one has cropped up before & is a conflict between FS2002 & a WinXP update. Tell your Dad to find traffic.dll in the FS2002\Modules folder. Paste a copy of this file into the FS2002 root directory folder. Please tell me if that fixed it.

My dad is back from vacation -- I don't think he used that fix Hagar, he upgraded another computer and installed it. It works  there fine he says, and uses ACOF on the first  computer. I think he has little  patience for troubleshooting

Thanks for your help, again, it might be helpful for someone else

One final note, I did convince my dad to try that fix -- He did it, and said it works like a champ -- He can use fs2k2 on both computers now and asked me to pass along his thanks !!
