Why is everyone around here so quick to accuse shots on
www.airliners.net
as being fakes? I mean I'm sure they get a few fakes every now and then, but I mean it almost seems like every shot posted here that is featured on that site is a fake.

I've asked the same question. My point is, if they're that easy to detect, what motive would a serious photographer have for posting an obvious fake? ???
Mind you, I didn't like to say anything before it was mentioned but this particular one does look a little odd to me.

Let me jump in.... It is possible that the airflow from the wings causes the waves to look that way. The number 2 engine is not being disrupted by the wings.
Interesting shot that bring a forum together to discuss it. Just when you thought you had better things to do. This group is fantastic....

&&&&That's right, I'm now using an AMD! I decided to give them another try and they kicked the pants off of my P4 3.4!
