Nice photos Dave.
I won't post any pics of my garden if you don't mind. It looks more like a jungle.

when you spend this much money on a camera. Your gonna take pics of whatever is around you
Flowers planes or roadkill.
Absolutly stunning clarity on these shots. Dave i was looking at the D70 as an option for the future but it has a $300 higher maybe more than the 300D, but the specs are almost identical, what is it that makes it worth the extra money??

the speed Craig, the speed! with the D70, you can make shots imediately after turning it on, i have to wait a few seconds (three i think). my cam has a buffer of 4 shots, the D70 has more. when making photos at airshows, this doesn't make a difference. after making 4 photos, the plane is gone anyway...at least that's my experience.
the sensor is different too: CCD in the D70, CMOSS in the 300D.
the D70 is better, faster,...but also more expensive. it was released after the 300D so it's normal that it's better and more expensive. for me the 300D was a good camera to start with but i'm sure Dave bought an amazing machine too!

you a nikkon fan then:)
the cannon is $780 the last time i saw a D70 it was $1100 hopefully come down a little
thanks Ken. I havent really kept up on DSLR terms and whatnot as i am an SLR fan, however i am going to be unable to afford the level of shots i usually like to take so digital is a good way to save money in the long run

Hey I just came back after changing a diaper!
Thanks Ken for answering the question. I am not familiar with the 300D, therefore I wanted to see the specs.
Gotta run!!! Baby crying!

It was that which brought up the question. As they are so close to each other. But kens explination helped alot:) Sadly i cant afford the D70. I might be able to convince my parents to split the price of the 300D if i sign up for the photography class, that way shouldnt cost more than $250 of my money
