joystick boot problems (Read 174 times)

I installed a Genius F-23U joystick to be used with FS2002Pro;everything went smoothly and the sim recognizes this addition;however,now when I try to boot my laptop(Dell Inspiron 2500 PIII 800 256 RAM XP Pro) it freezes so I have to turn it off manually and then reboot and everything works fine;what is going on?any ideas how to fix it?

thank you,peter, for your concern;it is a usb device which I connected and was detected by my system correctly;any ideas?
