Hello to all that read this.  About four weeks ago i posted a message about wingviews.  It helped me out alot but i am still puzzled on the information that i recieved.  I use the keyboard for flaps, landing gear and most movement of the aircraft expect for the manovering of aircraft.  But... is there keys which i can use on the keyboard to so that I could be seated within the seating area of the aircraft...eg (sat on the wing from inside looking out on to the wing of the aircraft).  Or is there software i have to buy to enable this to happen.  I would be most grateful for someone to comment back on this reoccuring problem I have with flightsimulator2004.

Thanks to all that can help..!!!

As stated many times around here, the add-on that does exactly what you want is called Active Camera.  It allows you to walk around the cabin among other things.  It's a wonderful add-on, but unfortunately for some people, it is payware.  Well worth the $$ in my opinion.  It's inexpensive so I'd say if wing view is your thing, it's money well spent.

The only other way I know of is to edit the aircraft.cfg or panel.cfg of the aircraft of choice and change values associated with window views, and eypoints.  It's a bit complicated but basically doing so allows for one of your window views to be set behind the wing.

there are also some nicely modeled freeware planes that have cabin VCs. unfortunately, the only one that i have found has only the cabin modeled in the VC. this is the default and there is no cockpit VC. for me, if theres no cockpit vc, then i dont fly it. im very picky, and its why i dont download many aircraft! anyway, just thought i might make you aware there are freeware options.

Well the thing about modelled cabins is you cannot walk around them without Active Camera.  Most planes out there do NOT have a full modelled cabin, but do have wings modelled into the VC view.  Unfortunately, unless it's already set up on the plane, you will have to adjust the panel.cfg in order to move one of your views (which will be a fixed view associated with one of the window modes) to a particular position around or behind the wing.  Otherwise, in most cases the wing can only be seen when looking behind and to the left/right from the cockpit.
