Has anyone tried the Citation X add-on? I paid over $27 and I wasn't too impressed. All I got was a panel and lots (and I mean lots) of eye candy.

I actually really like the Citation X, though does tend to hit the frame rates somewhat!!!!! It's not just a jump in and fly, does take some work, but I've found it pretty rewarding; going to try a reaaaaal long range flight this weekend to stretch both it and me 8)

Yes I have it. I think it's ok. I have a 21 module GoFlight configuration, and not all the a/c functions can be controlled from my modules.
I do like the virtual co-pilot, sights, sound and control.
I wish it would be possible to create shareware versions.
What do you mean, all you got was a panel? You didn't get a complete virual cockpit. Keep in mind there are four versions from Deluxe to ultra-light.
Anything else?
What do computers and air conditioners have in common?
They both will work perfectly, until you open windows.

Never flown the real world BJ400 but I have a lot of experience on the X. The ES model handles differently from the real thing but that's not so unusual in FS.
What bugs me is that the devs have made no effort to replicate the auto flight control sytem - it's the same as the default Learjet
. I wanted to use this to practse for my next renewal, so it looks as though I have wasted $27.
There again, these devs can't even run a web site properly, so perhaps I shouldn't have expected so much from the add-on.

I have been so busy lately, I didn't even know they had an addon for this jet. I like eye candy considering I can never be a real life pilot due to a childhood injury, and do not know a whole lot about being one or the reality factor in the design of the Citation X. Overall though its one of the best payware planes I own for the look and feel from a non-pilot perspective. All of their planes have been worth the expense with that in mind.
Sorry you were not impressed

It should be noted that the person named Jessica here cannot be found in our DB as a legitimate owner of any of our aircraft.
It should be noted that Jessica has failed to provide any personal info to verify her credentials

"Her" statements are untrue and "she" has no knowledge of how we developed any part of any of our aircraft
