Hey,

I just connected another moniter to my dual display vidcard.  I primarily use it for my GPS window.  Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't.  When it doesn't, the GPS display does not update and the cursor flashes between the arrow and the hour glass while on the window.  If I resize the window, the GPS display goes black.  If I then back the window more than halfway off (towards the main display), it works ok.  If I put it more than half way on, it acts up again.  A reboot solves the problem.

Is this a Windows 2K thing or a FS2004 thing?  Anyone heard of this before?

P4 3.2 GHz
1GB mem
Win2k (SP4)
ASUS P4G8X Motherboard (bios 1006)
Radeon 9800 Pro 128 (Catalyst 4.7 [6.14.10.6458])
SoundBlaster Live (5.12.2.252)

My main display is 21" running 1600x1200x32, Secondary is 14" 800x600x32.

I have the Desktop Display and FS2004 Display settings identical to each other. I run in windowed mode.

Anything else?

Joe

What do computers and air conditioners have in common?...
They both will work perfectly, until you open windows.

Im running the radion 9600 with dual monitors, main monitor is a 21in and 17in secondary. Both are set at 1024x768x32 and have no problems having the GPS, Radio stack and even a spot view on the second monitor.
I would try reducing your main monitor res to a lower setting and see what happens.

I set both mons. to 1280x1024x32 since that is the 14"s max res.  I don't like it that big.  The symbols on the GPS display are too small, but I'll continue with this config for a while and see how it holds up.

Thanks for the advice.
