Hey guys,
It's been a while since I have really posted any screenshots...thought I'd break that silence. I haven't had a whole lot of time, but I have managed to do a flight or two in the past week. Here are a few shots of one of those flights. Just thought they were semi-interesting
P.S. I do realize that this is Maui once again. HNL-OGG is a nice and short, real-world flight that I do from time to time. Sorry that I tend to feature that airport quite a lot around here. Forgive me...it's a good route for practice!

Regarding the system announciators, you didn't just happen to shut off the engines before taking the cockpit shot?
It looks funny during external view replays, flying while fanblades aren't turning
The last wingview shot is kickass sweet though

What the heck are you talking about Nexus? The engines were on, even during the replay.
It doesn't surprise me that you would notice something technically wrong with my shot though...
What is your deal anyway?
I did this flight for one reason, and one reason only. I was simply trying to see if a dual coupled autoland worked simply by arming both CMD A and CMD B while having the ILS entered into both NAV radios. Hey guess what, IT WORKED!
But wait, Maui doesn't have full autoland capabilities! Only select airports around the world support such things. WHAT THE HECK? Well, that's the great thing about this sim...you can do such things anywhere and you don't have to do things textbook every time!
Why did I fly from HNL-OGG once again?! Well it's a short flight that gives me a chance to just try things out without having to spend an hour+ of my day waiting to do something specifically during approach phaze.
But wait...a 737-700 doing a route from HNL-OGG? UNREALISTIC. Aloha uses -200s for those routes!! And further, the -200s dont have the same systems a -700 has! Heck, inter-island flights often don't even use autopilot! What the heck was I doing using an autopilot?!
I did not do this flight with the idea or intention that I would be posting screen shots to share and have analyzed by others. I just found the end result to be interresting and decided to take some shots for my sake.
Seriously man, step off...

oooooh, touchy touchy
did not analyze you took a quick glance at the announciators, which revealed that enginges had been turned off? (or game just started. my bad)
It was not a pun intended for you, but at the Microsoft game engine.
If you are offended by that, then I'm sorry
And to other whom it may concern: I will give you my opinion if I see stuff that is waaay off, doesn't matter if it's in general discussion, real aviation, hardware, FS forums or screenshots etc. I don't see the wrong in doing so, but some people can't take criticism or take it in the wrong way. So sorry for the rant but I think I have every right to do so after your little tirade Silver.
I have helped countless of people here, and enjoy doing so since I remembered how it was for me when I started, maybe I should just stop giving advice since apparantly people gets angry with me?
I like you Silver, heck me and Hyperion almost killed each other when I was a new member here (
), so I say we shake hands and move on?

I was a little confused by your comment and I guess I just started to really take it personally. I'm still not 100% sure I see what you were originally talking about.
Though, there was a bit of anger behind what I said, I like to think of it more as frustration. I have to admit, the reason I did not post that cockpit shot in the thread to begin with was because I was reluctant to expose it to someone like yourself who will likely find something wrong with it.
I highly respect you Nexus. You are one or the more knowledgable users that frequent this website and you offer a wealth of knowledge. For someone like myself who is not only an enthusiast, but someone that has aspirations of becoming a real-life airline pilot, you are someone I can look up to.
I am still in the process of learning everything about the PMDG 737. You are one of the only ones around here that seems to have an interest in that aircraft as strong as mine. The only difference being, you know everything there is to know about it. While I am always open for advice, sometimes too much criticism, and especially
the way criticism is given
, can really become discouraging.
There are countless times in the screenshot forums that I have noticed things that are wrong, or unrealistic in shots taken by others. For example, things such as people taking off with flap settings to high, or landing gear being left up too long after departure etc... However, I keep in mind that these people are trying to share their work with us. They may not be as knowledgable or serious about aviation as we are and are just here to have fun...so I keep quiet. I don't want to discourage them from posting around here anymore. It can be intimidating.
Anyway, I guess I was just over-sensitive. Maybe it has to do with the multiple jabs you have thrown in regards to my strong affection for Southwest Airlines.
I'm sorry I went off like that.
I just had to state every other inconsistency in those shots before you pointed them out.

It's okay pal, we all have bad days, and it's easy to create confusions and misunderstandings on these webforums.
And I learn everyday, there is nobody that knows everything about anything (well, aside from Hugh Hefner and girls).
Perhaps it's something with my attitude towards people. I'm always straight forward, tell them like it is without fancyness. I have to do that both in my job and as a hockey coach in the winter times. When dealing with some twenty juveniles there is simply no time for candy coating 8)
I tend to appear obnoxious or arrogant sometimes, but those persons probably deserved it the first place, I treat people like they treat me, and you have always been nice to me. We share the same passion for airliners and the 737 as well as the love of commercial aviation. And my remarks are often very ironic, which is again somrtimes hard to grasp because of the internet. What is a playful pun at you from my side might be looked upon as an insult by yourself, so it's a sensitive subject.
So I hope you forgive me and if I'm near San Diego anytime in the future I'll buy you a drink
