Hi, ill get straight to the point, im designing a 2d cabin, that can be 'walked' around during flight, however, im trying to make the windows of the cabin transparent, so i fill them in black but when i try it in game, they're still black. Any suggestions?

Hi donatrix. I take it you mean an FS2000-style panel with extra view windows. You don't say which sim this is for. Make sure the transparent parts of the BMPs are True Black. (True Black is identified on the colour palette as: red=0, green=0, blue=0).

Panel BMPs used to be in 8 bit colours but I'm not sure this applies to FS2002/4. For earlier sims like CFS1 you might need to paint the pixels in the top left corner of each BMP True Black as well. My Panel Clinic explains it. http://www.simviation.com/lair/CFSpc.htm

Yes, that was the problem, i had a colour that was almost (but not quite) black, i've changed it to true black, and am going to try it in the sim now.

Thanks for the advice!
