Hi,

Using a Mooney Bravo in 2002, I cant get the HSI to work as a ILS indicator. I have tuned nav1, and switched to NAV on the NAV/GPS switch.

What have I missed? ???

Oompah,

When you're within range of the ILS, you have to press the APR (Approach) button on the autopilot.

The APR is a function of the Autopilot and has nothing to do with the HSI. It is NOT required for course guidance and glideslope info on the HSI.

Double check to make sure that you ARE on Nav1 and make sure that you have selected the Localizer frequency to the ACTIVE side of the display.

.....so I loaded up the plane and moved to Middle-EEEE..........OIL..that is......
