I keep seeing and answering the same question in the multiplayer forums "How do I connect to a multiplayer session?" and its varients. Most of the time the answer is fairly straight forward... Router/LAN/Firewall problems.

The above question was my first one on thse forums and no one seemed to be able to give me any definitive answers. I found out for myself and managed by trial and error, but thats me ....
Might I suggest that in the Multiplayer forums there is a sticky enlightening people on the various ways of connecting to sessions. This sticky should also include the list of ports that need to be opened/redirected for connections through routers/firewalls. The basics of port redirection and links to connection software such as FSHost etc. This would give everyone a point of reference and hopefully make things less daunting for "newbies".

I am quite willing to write the sticky and take any questions that arise from it.

I just need to know wether it would be acceptable and wanted.
