For some reason when I open AFCAD it usually loads up with the airports and you can select but mine suddenly stops after two bars and wont load
I have checked the FSUIPC MDL file is in modules
I can open the list of recent airports that comes up in the window lower left
Any Ideas????????????????

OK I am at a lost what does the FSUIPC MDL file have to do with AFCAD I could be wrong but but I do not think it has any thing to do with AFCAD. I have AFCAD and i do not have any part of FSUIPC anywhere on my system.
I am not sure why your AFCAD is not working right But it dose not have anything to do with FSUIPC. 8)

AFCAD will work in conjunction with FS using FSUIPC.DLL
This is a module not a MDL file. I tried it with FS2002 & couldn't get it to work so I'm not the best person to give advice.

I have both FS2002 & FS9 installed with the appropriate versions of AFCAD. Mine never opened the airports automatically when I run AFCAD. There might be an option for this in AFCAD Preferences.

You are right ,fsuipc has nothing to do with opening AFCAD, I still cant open it. I have downloaded the current version and installed it but the same result.
It goes to 2 bars and stays there

Hi magic.

This is weird as technically AFAD doesn't install. You just unzip and run it. It doesn't register with Windows and doesn't need any other software such as VB run time files or whatever as far as I'm aware.

FSUIPC merely acts as a link between AFCAD and your sim so you can alt-tab between them and see where you are in the sim by a red cross in AFCAD.

I'd suspect maybe a virus on your PC? Otherwise try d/l ing AFCAD from another site in case your file is corrupt.

Magicman Now that we have the fsuipc straightened out . I agree with roller ball either you have a virus-worm or a corrupt afcad file. Once AFCAD is downloaded you just click on the afcad Icon and it should run. It needs nothing else in order to run. You might want to try a diferent down load site. I remember runing into a simular problem when I first downloaded AFCAD. I down loaded it from a different site and have no problem. It is possable that the site you downloaded it from has a corrupt file or a worm-virus in it.

Double Bingo, that dude! there's a patch out to fix this and other probs with this scenery.
Here's what Hans posted at simflight forum today:
"Download "Service Pack" sna2004sp.zip, which corrects the problem (and some
others too)

Hans-Guenther"

Hey, we're all in this together . . .
Thnx to Hans for the headsup
bill

Thanks for the sna info I have never heard that adding a scenery could cause a problem with AFCAD.
Glad you found the problem I will have to make a note on that to make sure afcad stills runs after adding any scenery. 8)

Hi All
After having AFCAD for so long without a problem, just recently it wouldn't load the airports. I also just installed the Santa Anna John Wayne airport, so I knew it had something to do with this scenery although I didn't know why. I did not delete the scenery to confirm this. I just installed the sna2004sp.zip patch and everything now works just fine.  Smiley Smiley
