im inpaired with all this high tech stuff, none the less i am lurking around adding my own AI and things.... ive seen from past pictures and the readme itself that AFCAD can display a map sort of thing of the airport u r working on, and that u can use a certain .dll to link AFCAD and FS together and slew around to defin parking and things.... i have added several parking spots to meigs and all, but only the runway shows up, along with nodes and all, no map or anything, so all my work is trial and error. i wanna know how to get the map to show in AFCAD soi can add my parking spaces correcly and add towers to untowered fields to set my own traffic there..... how can i accomplish this?

EDIT: i did download the .dll when i first got AFCAD but the thing asked for registration and money.... so i didnt regiter or payed....but the readme says u can use it for free so yeah.... what do i do?

Ace. I haven't tried this myself but it should answer your question. I copied this from ReadMe.htm included with AFCAD V 2.21.
Quote:
Note that FSUIPC is free to users who only need to use its basic functionality, such as linking AFCAD to FS. You only need to register and pay to use its more advanced features, which are not required for AFCAD.  AFCAD registers itself with FSUIPC when it starts up.

FSUIPC comes with documentation, but it is not necessary to read it for this application. All you have to do is copy the file FSUIPC.dll into the MODULES folder off your main Flight Simulator folder, for example:
...\FS9\MODULES

That's all you need to do to link AFCAD with Flight Simulator.

Most things you need to know are covered in the excellent instructions if you take the time to read them. Wink

Ah OK. I could be wrong but I think you need the previous version of AFCAD for FS2002. Maybe someone can confirm this.

PS. Make sure you have the correct version.

NOTE: This version of AFCAD is for FS2004 ONLY. Version 1.4 works with FS2002 .

The warning message might be another application & not AFCAD. I just downloaded the files & have the same problem. Maybe I'm missing something but I can't get it to work either. Roll Eyes

It could be another FS utility. My warning message refers to FSWideScreen whatever that might be. I don't remember ever trying it.
