Can anyone answer this question???  Why is the dash8, a very prolific commuter plane so incomplete and neglected in the FS freeware world??? I recently added the Olesky Frolov dash8 panel and plane and while the system simulation is very satisfying, I was highly disappointed to turn my "head" and see no windows or fusalage surrounding the panel!  I did a search on 3 different sites for dash8 panels/planes that I might add interior views to the dash8 panel and after alll these years of FS I came up with absolutly nothing!!!  Tell me, is there some un-written rule in FS that no designer shall in anyway undertake to reproduce a complete dash8 flight deck??????  I guess I will have to find side views from other panels that I might be able to adapt to my Olesky Frolov panel.  The lack of interior views certainly detracts from an otherwise wonderful package.

You don't say which version of FS this is for. FS2002 & FS9 have a default Dash 8 but this is an unflyable AI Only drone for use as AI traffic. It can be converted to make it flyable but it has no DVC. Some 3rd party aircraft have a DVC like the FS9 default flyable aircraft while others do not. This is purely a matter of preference by the designer. It would be possible to create an FS2000-style panel for any aircraft without a DVC. This involves adding extra views to the 2D panel itself.

Well hagar, i believe I am going to have to do just that. I was looking at the interior bitmaps of the dash 7 and the color, while a tad darker is close and is the rest. I am going to add front left/right and both side views for a bit more completeness.  I would create my own from photos if I knew how but I am not xperienced in paint or how to convert photos to a paint bitmap. I don't have accessto be able to take phots in a dash either and airliiners.net may not have to views I need.  DVC's r not really a big thing to me.  They just tax the 'puter harder and for my eyes the clarity is seldom good enough to make it nice to fly in a DVC anyway.  I usually just use DVC's on taxi, approach, and landing.

Try doing just that - I did. How do these look? Dash 8 parked at Humberside, England.

If you're interested and have a fast connection, send me your email address (mine available on my website) and I'll email the bmps for you to play with.

You're right I think about some of the Dash 7 bmps - the view over the right shoulder looks OK to me for a Dash 8

Thanks for the answers guys.  I went to the fanda website and discovered there is an interior view package available for FS 2002 fanda dash 8 and I simply manually added the to the 2004 panel as the 2004 edition now has a partially working FMC which isn't included in the 2002 cfg.  Now, if only I can master that FMC.  Its not quite like the Smiths/boeing we are familiar with in the PSS 747/777/DF 737 or 767 PIC, lol.
