Hey hey.

Well as the subject asks really, If I just press prt scr and go to Photoshop then when I return to the sim(alt+tab) it gets quite messed up(engines go invisible and weird stuff like that), so the only way around it is by flying in window mode(which means not having a full screen).

Anyway, I downloaded a program a while ago that when you press prt scr it takes the picture and saves it, this didn't work though. Anyone know some other things that can do the same? I can't remember the name of the one I used.

Cheers!  Grin

Liam.

There are various screen grab utilities available. Most people here seem to use GrabClipSave. I never bothered with it as MultiGrab does all I ever need.

It's an excellent little utility designed specifically for FS/CFS like all MWs stuff. I've been using it since the beta version was first released without a single problem. http://www.mnwright.btinternet.co.uk/programs/mgrab.htm

GrabClipSave did have a few issues with XP for some reason, I've been using MultiGrab (at Hagar and Riflemans recommendation) for the last year, and its FAB!

Cheers chaps Wink

I use Grap/Clip/Save in Windows '98 SE.
Works a treat using "Print Screen" and pops the pics onto my desktop ready to be re-sized/sharpened, rotated, etc, using Irfanview*... Grin... Grin... Grin...!

Cheers all...!

Paul.

I've just downloaded Multigrab, but GCS works fine, so I'll leave well alone... Wink...LOL...!

I posted a direct link to the download page on my first reply. Wink

As with all these things it's a matter of preference. If you're happy with what you have, carry on using it.

The main advantages of MultiGrab for me are:
It was developed by Martin 'Wizard' Wright, the foremost FS graphics guru.
Like all his utilities it's easy to set up & use.
It's a small standalone utility that will run from any location. It doesn't need installing or add registry entries like similar utilities. If you wish to remove it simply delete it.
It has options to save shots in either BMP or JPG format.

I also have PSP but I find IrfanView quicker & more convenient for this job. I use it for most images & photos I post here & on my site. I can usually crop/resize an image & save it before PSP has loaded. Wink

Hi Doug... Grin...!
The reason I use PSP for cropping/cutting, etc, is because the options to Cut selection, Cut & leave selection and Crop selection is ALWAYS greyed out in my Irfanview... Cry...!
Boo-Hoo...!

Cheers...

Paul.

P.S....
Fast re-wind... Shocked...!
The area has to be drawn first, using left mouse button on the picture... Grin...!

You need to select an area first. Drag the mouse across the image. You can adjust the selection as you wish afterwards. Then those options will be enabled. Wink

PS. I see you figured it out. Tongue Cheesy
