I just got msfs2004 and am trying to install add on planes I downloaded from this site. I cant figure out how to do it though- do you just make one folder and dump all the files in it, or do you have to make subfolders? Assistance appreciated! Kiss

Usually the README.txt in the .zip files will tell you where to put the files.  Most of the time, they just have to be in the C:\Program Files\Microsoft Games\Flight Simulator 9\Aircraft folder (assuming you use the default install location).  Be sure that the proper folder is in that directory!  Sometimes, you have to put some gauges in the C:\Program Files\Microsoft Games\Flight Simulator 9\Gauges folder.

If there's anything else you have to do, the README will tell you!  For example, the Laincair Legacy with which I'm making my cross-country trip required me to put something in the C:\Program Files\Microsoft Games\Flight Simulator 9\ folder to make it work.

When you're done, start Flight Simulator up and see if the plane is among the choices.  If you can start a flight with it, you're all set!

Happy flying!!!

,one way could be this. after you descompress the *.zip into a folder there are four important folder, the panel, sound, model, texture, they have to be set in a single folder with the it type of airplane or if anyname in this place.C:/program files/microsoft games/flight simulator 9/aircraft,  there are many planes that cames with other stuff like gauges, effect among other things they have to be place inside of the flight simulator folder 9/gauges or effect ANYWAY MY FRIEND
MOST OF THE DOWNLOADED AIRCRAFT HAVE THEIR SPECIFIC INSTRUCCION HOW TO INSTALL IT it's very strange when they dont have and a readme.txt file
Perhaps I'm missing a lot of things, cause it's very easy to do it, but it's difficult to explain an a few otherthings I'M TRYING JUST TO GIVE YOU AN IDEA,And remeber to search and follow the install intruccion

Here is this site's tutorial for installing planes.  It's better than I could explain it.  I hope that helps: http://www.simviation.com/acinstall.htm
