How do you get a picture added to the backround of Gmax? i did it once before, but can't figure it out again...
&&&&well of course! i'm trying to hit them!&&&&always fight fire with fire... because you get a bigger one!

THe highly suggested method is to create a plane with the same dimensions as your iamge, and map the image to the texutre.

that is true
gmax has a way of distorting the image size so it fits the viewport. can you imagine the extent of the damage that would cause on your project?
happened to me
you should take a look at the gmax tutorials, specially the one about textures to learn how to add your image to a plane
