I have acquired both of these programs, and am trying to decide which one I like better. My preliminary take:

I think I like Il2 better, mostly because of scenery and graphics quality. One problem is that it can take too long for scenarios to develop, and I think in both problems the sacrifice for realism is that the programs suck up hours of time riding around gaining speed, altitude, covering territory etc.

I would like to get opinions of more experienced players about both programs!

Thanks

Definately CFS3 IMO, although I can't speak for IL2 because I've never played it.

I've played both. Overall,IL-2 is the btter game, but its setting is only the eastern front. In CFS3,you've got some western front action together with a sweet dynamic campaign.
But in terms of sound, playability, graphics and "feeling", nothing can beat IL-2.

Come back in a month and tell us which game your still playing. The "which is better" question for IL2 and CFS3 is one that will never be answered. In the end it's down to personal preference and your the only one who can decide which you prefer.
