Cant land with flaps! (Read 195 times)

Hi,

Everytime i try to land no matter what a/c i use when i set the flaps to land (full flaps) the plane goes verticle and there is nothing i can do?!?!? i push forwards on the stick and it slows down the rate of climb but i cannot get the nose down unless i dont use flaps.

I get the spped down to roughly 190knots and everything but i was thinking is it something to do with fuel? do i have to drop some????? if so how?

Regards,
sam.

Hi ALSA...!
Have you set the "Trim" correctly on the trim wheel.
Perhaps you are trimmed too high.
The indicator should be in the centre, or just below, for landing.
..also make sure your auto-pilot is switched off....you often have to re-trim afterwards....have a look at that little white line on the trim wheel... Wink...!

Cheers...!

You have to set 1 flap at the time, so the plane can slow down at each stage, you dont set full flaps straightaway.
