I'm looking for a good Lancaster bomber that will work in fs2k. At the moment, I can only find pro/2004

Thank you

Hi Gaz. Alphasim recently posted a nice Lanc in their Freeware section. It's an FSDS1 model & should work fine in FS2K. http://mysite.wanadoo-members.co.uk/alphasim1/index.html
It's possible the textures on later models like the Lanc would need reformatting to work in FS2K. This wouldn't be difficult. Please try it & tell me if there's a problem.

All these files are good quality as they post the older commercial stuff as freeware. I think it's a nice gesture rather than dumping them. Wink

PS. I just downloaded it to make sure. The textures should be fine. You will need to realias Sound.cfg for it to show up on the menu or find & install a proper sound package for it.

Grin Thank you, Hagar.
What a great place to get oldies!
I have now got the Lancaster, installed the panel, got the sounds sorted, and am leaving Northolt in a little while for a quick jaunt around the coast!! Grin Grin Grin

All the very best
