I know there are a lot out there but i haven't found one right for what i need. i've tried the ones with Alain L'homme's mdl and they are fine for the player but AI controlled planes won't raise their gear. There's another by Oscar Everitt that looks nice but it has bombs and rockets on the bottom and it would look silly for the squadron to always have bombs. Any suggestions or help would be much appreciated.

The gear & other animations don't function on most 3rd party models used as AI aircraft in CFS1. Your best bet is the Alain L'Homme aircraft as they were well ahead of their time & have features the others do not.

PS. OK. I just tried a Joe Amodea repaint of Alain's Corsair in QC & see what you mean. This one is based on the FS98 version & there are several different models. It's possible one of the others will be OK. Alain did an updated MDL for CFS1 when it was first released. I can't find it at SimV although I'm sure we used to have this version. Try a search at Flightsim.com. If that's no good you will have to search round for an example by another designer. The gear & prop animation will still not function/display in AI but the gear should be in the UP position.

By the prop disk. The CFS1 version has the default CFS-style prop.

PS. Will. I found the CFS1 version at Flightsim.com. I tried it in QC & it's the same as the other one. Don't waste your time on it.
Look round for a Corsair by another designer. One from the FS98 section would do. As long as it's animated or the prop will be stationary in AI. The important thing is that it looks right. You can give it a DP & a different AIR file if you wish.
