Another point on making choppers easier to fly. You need to have a good fine control throttle to act as a collective pitch lever. I was able to make my own ( as I'm using analogue controls thro the gameport rather than USB) from a 100k potentiometer.
You need to calibrate the throttle so that it only travels through about 60 degrees from off to full, preferably from horizontal to up like a real collective.
There is an article on simviation somewhere advising on how to fly choppers in FS2000 (advice applies to all MS sims). The advised controller sensitivity and null point settings are very good and still work well in fixed wing aircraft.
If you understand how rotary wing craft work you should then be able to fly most choppers well with difficulty level set to medium after alittle practice.

This really surprises me , are you using a joystick and rudder pedals.? I find the 206 relativley docile and not prone to overcontrol. The R22 on the other hand reacts violently, especially to torque pedal (rudder) input.
I suppose the secret of chopper flying is as described to me by an ex military Lynx attack helicopter pilot who now makes a living flying Jet Rangers on power line patrols ( the small wood pole lines), where he is constantly inside the "avoid curve" ( i.e. low and slow) near many ground obstacles.
HAVE PATIENCE...most choppers do not react instanly to control input ( including the MC Sims ships) If you expect them to react straight away the tendancy is to put in some more stick and then you overcontrol !
AND like fixed wing aircraft always try to have some forward motion to keep lift . Hovering looks good but is difficult/dangerous and should be used only when absolutly necessary
