Hi all

Today i decided to buy myself a new fx card  i got a Nvidia Geforce fx 5700 Le 256Mb model and i am very pleased with it while using Fs2004  as i had to put up with a old geforce 4 mx440 card  anyway i have a few things i wanted to know

should i let the card handle the Antialiasing or Fs2004 As i cant seem to figure out what is best
also Anistropic filtering again should the card handle this or the game for best results

just wanted to know what people think any help would be great as this is the first time i bought a good card and i want to get the best out of it

thanks
Anthony

I always let my graphics card sort out the AA and AF.  i reckon it gives me a better picture than if the sim handles it, just my 2c though.

Thanks guys for you help i am still toying around with the card to see what it can do although at the moment i have let the FS2004 handle the AA  and  the card handle the anistropic filtering and the quality of the graphics are great at the moment

here is a little question for you  in the bios settings do i set the AGP aperture size to 256Mb  which is what the card is ?  because i was alerted via a little program i was using that the AGP aperture size is more than half my system memory ( my total memory is 512Mb ddr ram) and could cause performance problems with it set this way  is this correct ?  or do i need to set the AGP aperture size to 128mb  in the bios  even though the card is 256Mb .
any help would be great

thanks

That setting has nothing to do with how much ram your card has.  That setting says how much of your PC's ram can be used for graphical use.

I got 1gig ram and its fine set @128.  I run benchmarks and saw no raise if I changed to 256 thus I leave it @128 so I have more free ram to do other stuff.

Hi

thanks for the reply  Smiley  at the moment i have left it at 256mb aperture size in the bios because Fs2004  is running great as things are now i have nearly all sliders set to max and it looks great i get good frame rates and graphics are cool better than they ever were so for now the AGP but will stay as its  my other games run great too so  lets hope it stays that way  Grin  ( I hope )
