I cannot get the guages to show up in virtual view. Below is a screen shot of the missing guages, and the aircraft configuration file.. Any help would be appreciated...

The file we need to see is panel.cfg.  You probably didn't unzip a gauges.zip file properly.  Re-read the documentation for the file you downloaded.

Also, if you used an addon 2D panel, POSKY's virtual cockpits do not always work correctly.

One possibility is a bad Boeing747-400.cab file, the gauges used in VC02.  Does your 747 panel look ok?

This panel looks a lot like the 777 panel.cfg (it even has the copyright notice on it) but the 777 panel uses the 777 gauges in VC02 instead of the 747's gauges.
