I am looking to replace my current joystick, a M$ Sidewinder Force Feedback Pro.  The contrlos work fine, but it't in pretty bad shape: the wires for the FFB have to be sodered into the innards and come out about every week, I think one of FFB motors are shot, and the rubber thingy around the bottom of the stick has split, and I can see inside.  I was planning on getting a FFB2(it has lots of buttons 8)), but when I looked Circuit City, there weren't any there, but i haven't checked since then.  My says they aren't made anymore, but i seriousily doubt it cause their on the MS website.   i also want to get pedals for the rudder, although i haven't a clue about which ones are good.

Good topic!  I wish I could help but I have similar questions.  I went out the other day and none of the stores I went to had any rudder pedals.

How many people out there use them?

What brands do you recommend?  Where can I find them?

I have a Saitek X45 HOTAS (Hands On Throttle and Stick).  It's a Joystick and throttle. It has a teeter-totter rudder on the throttle handle. I don't like that.

I also have CH Products Flight Yoke PC & LE in addition to their Pro Pedals. The pedals not oly move fore/back but they rock up and down for toe brakes which is great for racing games. They come with little stoppers to prevent fore/back motion while racing.

If you're looking for more realistic Yokes and Rudders check out http://www.flypfc.com/.

What do computers and air conditioners have in common?...
They both will work perfectly, until you open windows.
