hey all, it seems im asking all me questions at once but heres another that ive been looking at. Would it be fare to say that an aircraft ie a330 would spend around 15hours in the air out of 24 to make it most effective.

The reason i ask is ive been looking at emirates a330-243's coming into birmingham and the norm seems to be within a week we would see 3 different reged aircraft.

I was thinking could it be possible for 1 aircraft to make a daily 15 hour rtn flight or would there need to be more of a gap thats working on 15 hours in the air and 9 on the ground for 7 days straight. I know it can be done but my question is is it the norm??

HI afsoc what part of birmingham are you in? i have just moved to the kings norton area.
I wouldnt say the a330 has to stay in the air any amount of time to make it effective. i think this ties into my how many cycles question i asked a few days back, if i am reading it properly. the same aircraft could fly the same route over and over its just schedules are made up that sends them to differant place for whatever reason

ye thats what i thought just wanted to get other peoples thoughts on it, wasnt sure if it was due to shed's or use of aircraft. Im not from birmingham i live in cheltenham which ant to fare south bout 30-45 mins away i pop up when i can love seeing the emirates birds flying in cant beat it. Hoping to make a trip to heathrow see if i cant catch one of the new 340's inbound would think it would be a cool sight.
