Hi Guys

Is there any way a Microsoft Sidewinder Pro joystick with serial connector that I used on an old windows 95 comp, be made to fit my new Toshiba laptop with USB only?
I got MSFS98 up and running but I really don't want to buy a new joystick. Would a USB to serial adaptor work, and if so would I need new drivers. Help!

Cheers
John

It should work, but go down to your local PC shop and ask one of the guys there before hand Smiley

to add to what strat said, make sure its compatible, i have one for my laptop, my joystick came with one and it broke, i tried buying a new convertor it didnt work so i just bought a new joystick. As long as its compatible you shouldnt have a problem

I think you'll find it's a Gameport and not a serial connector Welly, so ask for a "gameport to usb" adapter if such an animal exists.
