The textures on my airplanes disappear and go a sort of off-white color, and I was wondering if there is a way to fix it... TIA

Whats the specs of your system? ..... because it sounds like either your graphics card is running out of memory or your system is rather slow.

Let us know and someone will be able to help you.

cheers

Its both your system speed and lack of graphics memory .......... my system suffered from the same problems untill I upgraded the  graphics card ....

If you can afford to then I would upgrade your graphics. 64Mb seems to work for me and I have less processor and memory power than yourself. However I know that 128mb graphics would produce even better results. Check my specs below .... and the aircraft in my sig and avatar are from my screenshots.
FS says that it will work with 8mb graphics .... but it lies.

sorry for the sorta negative reply ......... but thats the way it is unfortunately.  Cry Cry Roll Eyes

cheers

I'll see what I can get. What's the difference between a PCI card and an AGP card, anyway? My specs on the HP website (I have an 8578C Pavilion) say that the graphics card is a PCI Local Bus, 8 Mb SDRAM,
AGP 2x Upgradable
. So does that mean that I can upgrade to an AGP card? If so, what do you think of the Radeon 9200 128 Mb AGP cards? Thats what I have my eye on now.

Scratch the AGP Upgradable thing. I do have an AGP slot on my computer, so, as long as its empty, I'm probably gonna get that card. (If it's OK with my dad). Should be, anyway.
