I have downloaded one A340-500 of SIA. But before i reach NewYork from Singapore, the fule finished halfway. What is the problem? can I change the fule configuration? I use 100% fule already.

Also, anybody knows that there is an airport called Newark. I couldnt find it in FS.

Thanks for any answers.

Phew - Changi to New York really is a long haul - over 8000 miles!. This is just about on the safe range for an A340-500 so in theory a model should be able to do this - if everything is set up right. If you're using weather then headwinds will affect the range, as will the speed you fly at.

If you run out of fuel halfway through the trip though, this sounds like a problem with the flight dynamics set-up - but you can adjust it. In this case it should be fairly easy as long as you are familiar with editing the aircraft.cfg file in the A340 aircraft container folder of your FS folder.

You need to do this:
- back up the original aircraft.cfg to somewhere safe, so it you make a mistake you can go back to the original.
- open the aircraft.cfg in the A340 folder with Notepad.
- In the section called [GeneralEngineData] you will see a line that looks like:

fuel_flow_scalar=1.00

The value may not be 1.00 but that does not matter. To double your plane's range, divide the figure by 2, so in this case your line would read

fuel_flow_scalar=0.50

Save it, and now you have the range to get from Changi to Liberty International, as Newark, New Jersey (KEWR) is now called.

Good luck!
