Help please (again). I've downloaded a new 2d panel (friendly panels) for the default KingAir. It's an exe file. When I execute there is a default path shows up: C\ProgrammeFiles\Kingair 2d panel. I browse for correct path but I'm not sure what to select. Do I browse to the KingAir panel folder or stop at the Kingair aircraft folder. When I installed COF I did not alter the default path when installing the programme. Any advice would be much appreciated.  Undecided

well see if you can create a folder and install those files into that folder. then see if you can delete the default panel folder out of the King Air Aircraft folder. then try to copy/paste the panel folder that you installed into the temporary folder to the King Air Aircraft folder. Here is a tip: You never put a new panel folder into the old panel folder because the old one has to be deleted and you replace the new panel folder in place of the old one because there can only be one pane folder in each aircraft's folder

Believe it or not you can have as many panel folders in an aircraft as you want. They work exactly like paint schemes. To add a different panel all you have to do is place the second panel folder in the aircraft folder and name it panel.2 just like for a repaint the texture folder would be named texture.2 (you can replace the 2 with whatever you want I.E. : IFR, VFR, glass...
After doing this you will have to alter the cfg file.
change the panel entry to whatever you named the second panel folder. Below is an example from one of my cfg files to show this.

This is a very good way to try out new panels. then you dont have to make a backup of the old panel. If you don't like the new panel just delete it and change the cfg file and thats it.

Hope this helps!

I know that you can do it like that because one of the cessna's came with two panels, The Regular one and the IFR Panel, but what he was talking about was installing the panel into the default Panel folder of the King Air meanning he was going to mix the files of the new panel and the old one all in the same folder
