I recently been playing with my viseo card (FX5200) trying different settings to achive the best results, I had the AA set at 4, AF at 8 and then noticed that in my kneeboard pages wouldn't scroll, the last two lines in the window would just pile up on top of one another???
With the AA and AF off the kneeboard works fine, these settings were set in the card control panel not in FS9.
Anyone recommend any settings for the 5200?
Anyone had the same kneeboard problem if so how did you fix it?
Only seems to effect the kneeboard operations all else works great!

Yes, it happened to me recently, while fiddling with the video card settings lol........  Tongue

It affected a notepad window as well, so it wasn't restricted to FS9!

I'm glad you saw it, because I thought it was the beta service pack I'm using. (WinXP Service Pack 2, release candidate 1). So now the service pack is off the hook!

Only happens in FS9 for me, notepad works fine. And like I said with AA,AF turned to aplication controlled in the Nividia control panel, kneeboard works fine??? Must be the video card itself or its drivers???

get the latest drivers, or increase resolution while giving up FSAA

The 5200 is a weak graphics card.
Try Graphics Card FA/AF settings of 2 then adjust to suit based on visuals.
Bilinear.
Modest mip map.
App off for Anti Aliasing.
Modest settings other choices.
If your CPU is 2G or AMD 2000 or better w/512 memory the problem isn't the system; its the card.

But wait a minute guys, everything is displaying just fine with good FPS.

This is some sort of a glitch. And I'm sorry, it wasn't notepad that had the glitch as well, it was a winzip window I had open while FS9 was running.

Anyone else seeing this bug? You can't read help items in FS or kneeboards etc.

I just did a clean FS9 install, and the problem is persisting.

This is probly the wrong forum..........  Roll Eyes

I did see smearing of text in COF earlier ATI Catalyst drivers.  Fixed with new drivers some time ago.
