Like the topic says, I have one simple request. I am considering purchasing FS2004 and would like to see if the main airports I fly out of look any better than in FS2002. Could someone post a few night and day screenshots of KPBI and KLNA so I'm not dissapointed to find that they look like garbage when I get FS2004 (If they do).

P.S. If possible I would like a daytime overhead shot of each included.

yeah heres a couple more that i took from far out from the airports....you will notice tonnes of autogen scenery which liven up the airport.....and like steve says these do not do fs9 justice so i included a shot that does..honolulu by dusk enjoy

...

...

...

...

do take into account these screenshots loose tonnes of detail when resizing them and uploading them etc and your computer specs may not match mine so you may not get same results.

my tip is to get fs9 because it is worth it.

EDIT - Scott not STEVE lol

Damn, microsoft skimps on lna and pbi again Angry look at this comparison shot. It is small but as you can see the large road on the right looks nothing like the one in the screenshot, which does not cross the lake and does not have an entrance to the airport coming off of it Angry Also, those buildings at lna are all hangars except for two! there are many hangars (over 20 I think) I'll count them next time I go flying.

...

I guess I have to find out how to modify MS scenery now because that just looks terrible.

If you have AOL Instant messanger or MSN messenger then I could send them to you that way because if I post them on this sight then it will be really hard for you to find the screen shots. Or I could E-Mail them to you.

eh? oh sorry scott i meant u not steve..dunno where i got steve from im not with it today lol

yo chomp so u think it should be photographic detail on flight sim? remember theres over 20,000 airports in fs...imagine how much time it would take to get every last road, sign, street light,  peice of chewing gum stuck to the pavement,  bird poop on the bus shelters correct for all those airports...they havent done a bad job at all in my eyes...they at least got a road there!!

I don't expect photo-real scenery, I just want it to remotely resemble the area! If they took the time to put a road there at all they should have at least done it right. Is there a way for me to edit the local scenery so I can make it more realistic? I don't have much time to do things like that so Is there an easy way?

Smileybut you could say that, like Daz says, over 20,00 times. its over 20,000 times longer which we would need to ait to get the game Smiley therefore it would be 20,000 times the price for longer.
so in the long run we have got a good deal.

I don't expect it to be photo-real just to remotely resemble the actual area. They could have used sattelite photos. I downloaded some florida scenery from avsim or no-nodes (I forgot which one Roll Eyes) and it looks better but I still want to correct the airport.

I was thinking of the latter, I do have to ask some scenery designers about which programs to use though.

The problem is that making every last stretch of land so accurate would result in a game never being released.

I mean, think about it.  You don't like YOUR airport.  To be honest, I'm not particularly fond of the Albany area that they did.  Someone else finds fault with Dublin.  Another person doesn't like the Sarajevo.  It's much quicker for the public to make the areas THEY like than it would be for MS to do it themselves.  (Iit would be significantly cheaper for them to do it this way too, and since MS being a business, they like this.)

yeah and if ms did it perfectly the first time you would have thousands of scenery designers just sat around twiddling there thumbs Cheesy ms provides the platform and the scenery designers make fs9 so damn good.
