hey my sim runs great again after i reinstalled windows, however, when switching fews or deploying reversers it becomes a loud static! any suggestions??

post your computer specs and also run a diagnostic on your DirectX. Make sure you have version 9.0b

If he has a SB live there are 2 options: get the 50MB driver stuff from creative, leaving you with the occasional static burp.
Or get KXProject drivers.
