Once upon a time I had pretensions of being a photographer and thought I would be the next Jerry Uelsmann.  That didn't quite work out, but I did get some halfway decent pictures out of it.  Here are a few from around Jacksonville Florida.  Note for those familiar with the area, the big building was still the Independent Life building.  Smiley

Good one Kevin. Some nice shots there. Wink

No reason you can't continue doing it as a hobby.

Thanks guys, I appreciate the compliments a lot.  The reason I got out of it is still not clear to me, but early on I 'apprenticed' myself to someone who turned out to be not all that he seemed and I'm sure that was part of it.  The other was that I wasn't entirely sure where to go with it and how to make a living with it.

I seem to be having some trouble with my scanner.  The originals were certainly not this muddled.  If you look about 2/3 of the way down on the second pic, you'll see some streaks across it.  Does anyone know how to get rid of these?  I tried cleaning the rollers and the glass, but either I didn't do it good enough or something else is the cause.  Also, there seems to be a lot of contrast lost.  ???

i always have the same problem with mine and nothing i do seems to help. I have been told to have them just put straight onto CD, unless your willing to spend out huge amounts on a top of the range scanner
