I've been browsing through the several hundred photos I've taken during the last couple of weeks. Here's a few random shots I haven't posted before. These were taken at the vintage fly-in at Abingdon.
Pretty little Luscombe Silvaire.
The Falco 8L. Super little plane. Haven't seen one for years. Think it's now sold as a homebuild. One used to visit Shoreham regularly back in the 1960s.
Jodel DR1050 like the one I flew in yesterday..
A nice CAP 10. Very popular with R/C modellers.
Some of the big radial jobs. The classic Stinson Reliant.
Not too many Cessna taildraggers this year. Here's the C-165 Airmaster with a Warner Scarab.
The beautiful Waco YKS-7. This is a real luxury aeroplane.
Here's one of my many out-takes. Whoa.......!
Too late.
Darn it.......!
Maybe I should have zoomed out a little. LOL

There are two types of aeroplane, Spitfires and everything else that wishes it was a Spitfire!

Not yet Pete. There's a few months to go yet & things tend to change. The Catalina was listed last year but unless it flew over on the Sunday it didn't show.
I didn't know there was an airworthy Gannet. I used to see them around here all the time when they were based at RNAS Ford - now sadly an open prison & market.

Thanks. I always liked the look of the original factory-built Falco. One used to visit regularly & beat up the airfield. More like a small fighter with that retracting gear. Fast too.

I believe Tim Manna's just acquired one at North Weald and I think the airworthy one fomr the US has just been bought by someone on this side of the atlantic off the top of my head...

Hi Charlie. Great to see you around here.
Thanks for the info. I've lost touch with all that stuff now. As you can see, I've been having too much fun with my old favourite vintage light aircraft for a while.
