If you enjoy payware aircraft and exacting detail )in most cases), each list - Aircraft, Scenery, Utilities, is in bold font for the company that produces or sells it. Just click it for the link. I know there are other companies out there, but this list represents the ones I have bought from, and what I have purchased.

FOr as long as I've been here never knew this forum exsited! LOL!!
I have only bought two
USA Extreme Landscapes
B35J Mitchell Briefing Time
The USA Extreme landscapes is awesome, covers the entire US and they are now sending me a free upgrade disc that covers Alaska and Hawaii! No hit on frame rates and looks more real than anything else I have seen! And good price.
The B25 is AWESOME! Plenty of eye candy, detail, just fantastic! And for all the detail no frame rate hits!
I have freeware airplanes that even without VC kill my frame rates!
So for my first payware items I'm extremly pleased! And I'm going for more!!
That T34 looks sweet!

This one is going to be my next purchase I think, but I hate ordering things in the mail. I prefer a download link
Sorry to get back to this thread so late, I'm sure you already have the Mentor and the Seneca Dave, so I won't be saying anything except I love them both.
I just purchased the Aeroworx Beech Super King Air B200 and the Captainsim 727 100/200 as my treat to myself for surviving my 2 days in the hospital (had a bacterial spinal fluid infection, thankfully not as serious as memengitis, but I will say that spinal taps SUCK)
And Fretnstuff, I didn't know this forum was here either until I started purchasing payware aircraft/scenery/utilities like I was born rich lol
Now I think I will be a regular member to this forum

I can proudly say that I have been able to show the restraint to only have 1 payware aircraft (well 2 actually).
To be perfectly honest, it is not an expensive one either-I have the "donotation ware" FDG P-51B Mustangs for both FS2004 and CFS2, which cost all of $2 each over at Sim-Outhouse. Also, I did not have to pay for them (no I didn't get them illegally-since you still have to pay for them). All of the staff members at the Combat Flight Sim forums (a branch of SOH) were given both Mustang's as a gift for helping out at the forum by the administrator.

I can honestly say, that buying payware items for the flight sim, is a LOT LESS expensive than buying my art supplies, both of which are hobbies, though I do make a few bucks here and there on my artwork, or if I am commissioned.
I do have some restraint though
I only buy ones that are interesting to me. I love GA aircraft, and the occasional commercial aircraft.
I will say this though, Lago's FSE is the best thing since sliced bread for the small craft pilot. I spent around 20 hours straight adding vehicles, and scenery enhancements in and around the Diamond Point/Emma/Orcas Island area

Hi Stephen. I have it also but have not had the time to get it going. I read the manual a bit and tried but could not get it to work! ???
When I pull my hands of my yoke, I will give it a try.
As for right now, it is hard to take shots when the flying is so much fun!!!

I'm in the process of getting the Carenado Cessna 210... I can't wait to fire this baby up!
If you don't see me for a few days, you'll know where I am!
Also, seeing as my 22nd birthday is next week, I think I'll buy myself the Captainsim F-104 (that is, if I have enough after I pay my bills.
)
How is the F-104 anyways?

Jroc,
I personally do not have this payware aircraft, though I know a few that post on SimV do have it. I have also read a number of reviews on several other sites. If you go to captainsim.com they should have links to reviews of which most tend to be unbiased.
Good luck,
Stephen

I just added the A-10 Warthog from Aerosoft. I posted a few pics in the Payware Screenshot forum
This thing is a beast
*warning though* I would not recommend it unless you have a fast system, or can tweak your computer really well! The plane has 64,000 polygons

Man oh man is this one beast to learn for a person who knows not how to fly. That FMO is a monster, and I kid you not. I have printed over 250 pages of documentation and how/tos this weekend for just this craft

All I have are Flight 1's Ultimate Traffic, and Eddie Denney's Realscene 2004. I greatly enjoy both and think that they were well worth their prices. Most of my money goes into things that I get mainly for Flight Simulator but that greatly improve my computer in general.

I like it a lot. Some of the metal textures and the paints look a little bit shiny, but not overly, I prefer a more drab paint scheme on old WWII bombers. Sound package from what I have tried so far is excellent and flight dynamics are superb. Selection is also great for $29.99, and the manual is also very well done.
I have posted a few screenshots, and will post some VC pics and some other aircraft (though right now I am enjoying the B-17 which is my all time favorite bomber
)

hmmm. Well considering in the sim I spend approx $100 to 150 a month, sometimes less, sometimes more, depending on the budget I give myself, then you compare that to the fact that I can easily drop up to $1000 a month on my art supplies - canvas, paints, scientific illustration media, graphics programs, pens, brushes, pencils, sculpting supplies, photography equipment, etc, I think the sim is a bargain lol, but I would say...
including computer (Dell XPS , graphics card nVidia 6800GT, 19" Viewsonic VX900 LCD monitor, SaitekX45 controller, payware aircraft, sceneries, utilities, some less some more than the others, I would say a lot.
Suffice to say though that the best investment I made, and this is an honest opinion, is having Michael at fs-gs.com make my computer a flight sim computer. Best money I have spent in a looooong time. He made my sim go from bad to brilliant, but yes, I would say payware alone, I am probably pushing four digits lol.
Its a hobby, and when it comes to my hobbies, I like only the best.
just like I haunt this place. It has some of the nicest most knowledgeable people who use the forum, and a very informative website as well.

Good to hear Stephen!
I'd also like to try Ramsa's services but not too keen to re-format at the moment...last time it took me weeks to get everything nicely installed in FS2004, addons and additional textures packs...gah!
And hmm..where is my Windows XP disc again?

Yeah Nexus, you should not need to reformat. I think Stephen had an issue that not many have. I speak with Michael a few times a week and he said he never had to have anybody reformat. Having to do what Stephen did is not for the weak of heart!

Dave
under normal circumstances Dave I would have to agree, but with talking with Michael, I had the utmost confidence in him and followed his recommendations to the letter. He tried initially to work with what I had, and after that did not work, he said he thought a reformat and purge of my system would be necessary. I gave it an evening to think about it, and decided I loved simming enough to go through with it.
I will not be looking back. I even told him, lets go ahead and purge the HD, so he had me back up what I needed to and the following day having backed up probably 80% of what I wanted (the other 20% I either forgot about or could not find), we started, and through his guidance, and ability of talking to someone not computer savvy, I now have a jaw dropping sim.
I cannot give him enough praise, and consider it the best investment of all for anyone that considers simming an indepth hobby.
Plus, under notrmal circumstances I would have been nervous as hell doing what we did, but with Michael, I was not nervous at all.
If you look at it this way, the fee seems like peanuts. I have spent countless hours in my sim, immersing myself in a virtual world that was never really as beautiful as I knew it could have been, and FS-GS has made it so the rest of my time simming will always remain priceless.

lol Nexus. before I had my overhaul done on the PC, I used the freeware PAI. It was a bear to use, though atleast it was free, and since the reformatting of my PC, I wanted to add only freeware I knew was on par with payware, and the best in payware. no more blindly adding this or that to my sim
But yea...its now today

OK I have plenty of aircraft for now, so its time to enhance the visual appeal of the landclass and seasonal texture mesh, so I went shopping at FSGenesis.net and Simmarket.com.
One word of warning, if you are looking for landclass enhancements, FSGenesis files are HUGE and NOT for the 56K faint at heart though you can purchase each landclass update on CD.
The FSGenesis files i bought are over 5 gigs total (5,129,235 KB total for 11 files), so I have been downloading for a while on DSL at roughly 156kb/sec dl its taking roughly an hour for each landclass.

Nice score SaVas!
I just (finally) bought the Captain Sim F-104! I love it! My new military crate of choice. Now if I can just wrap my head around the PHI and polish up my landings...
Which brings up my payware count to 2 - Caranado's Cessna Centurion and the F-104. (
Opposite ends of the flight envelope! )
Methinks PMDG's 737NG is next - but I'll probably wait until December when I'll have the cash to pick up both packages.
Edited list:
Aircraft:
aerialfoundry CAF CF-18 Hornet Military Pack 1.0
AeroSoft DHC-2 Beaver
AlphaSim F-101 Voodoo
Carenado Cessna Centurion II
Captain Sim Legendary F-104 Starfighter
Cloud 9 CF-104/F-104G Starfighter
PMDG 737-600/700NG (finally)
Scenery:
Flight1 Ultimate Terrain Canada/Alaska
Utilities:
Anticyclone Active Camera v2.0

I have all the Citations, and the Aussim Piper.
Citation X is the best payware Bizjet out there, but a killer on slower PCs, thankfully they do have a non delux version.
The Citation II is a great plane and easier on frames and the sim, and the Aussim piper is a great value as you get 2 varieties, each comes in front wheel pant, all wheel pants, and no wheel pants varieties.

Added the RIAT Fairford Air Tattoo Scenery, Alphasim Foxbat and C-130 Hercules base pack
and some kind of base in Antarctica (its not very good) but better than nothing in the frozen continent
I drive a Nissan Maxima. My gas mileage can be below 20 mpg down as low as 16 to 17
and it requires Premium high test only
But then again I have a very heavy foot and a great radar/laser detector

Gotta hold back some money for Carendo's 180.
And I'm a little tweeked that Alpha Simulations doesnt' take Master Card!!!
I could have a field day there.

Strongly recomend downlaoding an "AERIAL APPLICATION AIRCRAFT" for that weed control problem!!!

Scenery:
FSGenesis - U.S. Landclass, West Coast 73m terrain, Roads(updated 1.1 now)
Traffic:
Ultimate Traffic - Flight 1, need to hit those menu buttons
on the left to start it's first compile of traffic to setup, THEN it's ok after that.
Utilities:
Active Camera for FS2004. - Anticyclone
Planes:
767 Pilot in Command - Wilco (only runs ok on FS2002)
Books!:
"40 Great Flight Simulator Adventures" - Charles Gullick 1985
"40 More Great Flight Simulator Adventures" - Gullick
"Flying flight Simulator" - 1987 Gullick(his last one it seems)
Thanks to this board and the others (avsim reviews etc.), I got exactly what I was looking for. I hadn't bought addons since one time for FS4 back in '92 (grand canyon)! You can get Gullick's books for like $1.00(without shipping) from the amazon resellers(looks like you can get any book ever printed these days). Yeah, I played FSII on an Atari 800xl way back. Today's FS with roads is hyper-revolutionary!

I am going to be get started ordering today with CRJ Experience, and a really good twin and a really good single as yet un-determined but I'll know by tonight. I am considering the aerostar or the 310 and the Meridian or the Cardinal.

Ultimate Classic Wings
Classic Airliners
Royal Airforce

Airbus
L-1011 Tristar
Phoenix 757-200

Now I need to find some scenery for Pennsylvania, Maryland, Ohio, and West Virginia. If anyone knows about who may make it, please give me a shout.

You know it did not go Freeware so why are you stating that
It was a glitch in their system!

I haven't played around with it too much yet, just a quick test flight of each variant. I'm really liking it. I'll take her for a nice long flight up in the wilderness tonight, though.

Der... threw down just over $100 on payware in the past couple weeks - the C9 Starfighter, Alpha Voodoo, and the PMDG 737-6/700NG (finally... been procrastinating on that one for almost a year. Haven't grabbed the second package yet, though.)
